what's new
not much to say lately. here's what i've been up to: working. finishing the first season of 24. finished the last book in the dune series. we got our new computer. exposed to some new bands and artists we really dig. added another vehicle to our fleet. polishing the next treasure hunt which i am stoked about. got free coffee for a month. tickets for the drum & bugle corps competition in battle creek arrived.
for the adventurous, here are some bands/artists to check out: rock kills kid. justin king. under the influence of giants. joshua radin. office.
i'm finding it hard to streamline life at the moment...where to say no, where to say yes, trying to balance work, hobbies, husband and friends...and trying to keep in mind that i should not let the urgent crowd out the important.
today i was struck with the thought that we spend so much of life on amassing things that reflect our personal style, and we rarely look beyond that...to a greater purpose, to more productive pursuits, to developing character. of course, this is probably just me, behind again while everyone else has already addressed this in themselves.
i'm looking forward to good weather and less late work issues soon...lack of tennis and biking is disappointing. i love doing that, especially in the middle of the day with lisa. (who rules, by the way)
so, it's now 1:11 a.m. laundry is finishing up and i'm trying to think of some other things i can get done and out of the way before i got to bed. there's the buzzer.

What? New car? What's going on? Call us! (Have we mentioned lately that we miss you guys?)
we miss you, too! we'll call soon. I promise! it's funny how busy one tends to get. let's do dinner some weekend so we can hang and catch up, something laidback and relaxing :)
love you guys!
Allow me to officially invite the two of you over on the first Sunday you are available, and we will cook for you! How much more laid back can it get? :)
Hey, and I want in on some of that tennis action, if you'll have me...I'll bring my garage-sale raquet and everything!
