Three One

in honor of this super special day, I'm going to bestow upon you some little known facts about little ol' me.

10) im deathly afraid of bees. once my parents had some friends over visiting when I was a kid, and there was heard from outside a child's bloodcurdling scream. when my parents didn't even react, their friends said, "Aren't you worred?" My parents said, "No, it's only marie. she saw a bee."

9) I used to hate my name and all through grade school wished I could have a nickname. after I moved to a new school in the 10th grade, another girl on the volleyball team asked me if she could call me "rie". I was so excited, then even more so when I found out that the french word "rit", pronounced the same, means "to laugh." think about it.

8) in college my two music camp ranger patrol buddies bestowed another nickname on me. since everyone else called me "rie," dav and jon decided to call me "ma". (we also snuck out of music camp to go see a batman movie)

7) i regret not inviting my friend kelly to my wedding, and am not even sure why I didn't. she died in a car accident seven months later at the age of 24.

6) I drove my car on the sidewalk from keithley hall, down past pickett hall and all the way to the seminary building at cornerstone university. at night of course.

5) driving is my all-time favorite hobby. it helps me think clearly, calm down from when I'm mad, and just generally unwind; it really relaxes me. I have a thing for wind, which is partly why I drive a jeep.


4) playing tennis is known as "tennising" in my family. I used to get super angry at my sister if I didn't think she was really trying. I used to also be a sore loser. I'm sorry -- did I say used to be?! hehehehe now when we play I just like to have fun, which is good because everyone else is better than me :) (you'll notice that it's usually elizabeth or her team that wins most often!)

3) I remember a lot of things, and a lot of people, and wish it meant something important.

2) I used to like pepsi. now I like coke.

1) my favorite movie is The Last Boy Scout. the swearing is really, really funny :)
