saint patrick's day aftermath
it's 5:15. do you know where your leprechaun is?!
we celebrated st. patrick's day on saturday. because we can. dwight and jenny decorated, passed out "kiss me I'm irish" necklaces" (which is cool...because I AM irish), and they sported green headgear.... ONE of which the dogs were afraid of, so I kept it near me most of the night. it was like opposited poled magnets... as soon as the hat was in front of them they were immediately repelled. brilliant.
dwight called us earlier in the afternoon to help him with a surprise... jenny's birthday is this coming friday, march 21st (wish her a happy birthday on friday!) but we had cake and ice cream at the party!! it even had a special jenny-candle :)
the best part is that dwight and chris were all huddled around the cake WHILE JENNY WAS IN THE KITCHEN at one point. elizabeth needed ibuprofen (I thought maybe she was trying to sneakily get jenny to leave the room) BUT WHO KEEPS THEIR MEDICINE IN THE KITCHEN?!
regardless, jenny never saw it coming. we sang, she endured it, then she blew out the candles (and even smoked one) and then blew out the candles again, because they were strangely difficult.
emmet eventually made his way to his favorite christopher, and perched there for awhile. I think he thinks he's a parrot. hey! great idea for halloween!
the hoeks were instrumental in the scene-it victories.
and we were very sad to see them go.
I like to call this off-kilter photography. which suits the subject matter quite well.simon doesn't leave without some lovin' from the pooches, and maybe a kiss or two.
