bicycling. it's american.
while I was doing my banking via drive-through canister-flying, the teller asked me, "so are you going bicycling today? I see you have a bicycle on the back or your truck -- er... vehicle." seriously. BICYCLING. who calls it that?!
day 1 on the white pine was a huge success!!!
it was a little cold for ice cream, but our dam dogs hit the spot. and kate, now that we've completed our recon of the trail, it is ready for you and rylie-on-wheels. for real. our people will call your people.
this is the only picture I took the night of the mines experience.
it's no bunny sign, but it's what chris would call ridonkulous.
saturday night we celebrated elizabeth's 42nd birthday.complete with burgers, fries, and peach sangria (surprisingly delicious!)
lots and lots of stacker...and more than enough james mcevoy on the big screen.

Dang...I look GOOD for my age!!! :)
You would ALMOST think I was actually 14 years younger than that!
yeah, ALMOST...
you look so YOUNG for your age... but I'm sure you hear that a lot :P
hehehhhe
42 birthday, eh? Yes, I concur that Elizabeth does look much, much younger.
Oooh, Kate showed me where Dam Dogs is...yu-u-ummy...looks real good...we'll have to take a field trip there.
I had no idea it was her birthday. Boo. And, guess what - Josh and I will be living WALKING DISTANCE from the White Pine by sometime in May, and we plan to buy bikes, and I thought you'd be excited to hear that.
What's fantastic is that Liz is only 14 years away from being 42. Awesome.
And we're headed to check out a used kiddo-trailer tonight for the bikes! We'll be ready soon! Thanks for scouting it out for us.
Laura... buy a pink bike with streamers, please.
dam dogs... giddyup. definitely field trip worthy!!! it'll be our own little entourage...because we're all rock stars, you know.
laura, I'm insanely jealous. we live mere feet off the kent trail, but it's no white pine (and also seriously lacking in dam dogs). :P and also, you should buy a pink bike basket. and a little dog to sit in it.
wooohooo kate! or if you have a stroller we can walk, too! it's easier on the sartorious muscles. (or, as I like to call mine, Sir Torious)
I WILL get pink streamers. AND a pink basket. AND spokey-dokies. AND a little license plate that says "LAURA." But sadly, I don't think the purse dog is in the cards - I think Josh's dad would REALLY go postal if someone brought another animal into the house. (And when I say REALLY postal, bear in mind that he's already fairly postal the majority of the time! :)
then i am afraid that it will have to be Josh, who sits in the basket.
