10
I'd like to share with you the significance of the number 10 (ten).
It is NOT the number of cookies piscin licked today while we watched a special on the Bermuda Triangle (thank you, SciFi channel).
It is NOT the number of wrapped presents currently sitting under the tree (though it does mean there are some...)
It does NOT represent the distance of empty space between condiments in our refrigerator (it was a good week).
It is NOT the temperature in my hometown right now (though it possibly could be...)
It is NOT the number of demons who dance in the Amazon jungle causing the rain to fall.
It is NOT the number of church members it takes to change a light bulb (>gasp< did i say change?!)
It is NOT the number of tv channels the boy can surf in one second (the number has GOT to be much higher!)
weary travelers, 10 (ten) is the number of hours of sleep that i have clocked the last two days. that's right, i am a walking time bomb of narcoleptic proportions. the 10 (ten) is rounded up, because when i crawled into bed at 7:30 am monday morning, i did NOT fall asleep right away. oh, no. i'm not a fast faller-asleeperer. this morning (hurts the ears, doesn't it?) i crawled into bed at a more respectable hour: 2:30 am. i won't tell you what time i had to be out the door by. for either day. but if you are a mathmonger, you could make some intelligent guesses.
i am caught up in my work right this moment, but i have more work to do today if i am to maintain that status. as my former division coordinator kevin used to say, "One day is not a trend."
