happy monday to all

it's been a long and extremely busy two weeks. with work, worship team, aaron leaving, and tim & lindsey getting married I had a lot to do, prepare for and work on. the worship team has august off, no one I know is getting married, and work is all caught up.

this weekend involved breakfast with tasha, an afternoon at the beach with lisa and liz (and reading harry potter), and then a double feature at the getty drive-in theatre with chris and lisa. it was relaxing, tiring and just a little too much fun. sunday chris and I saw live free or die hard...which was super great. how can you NOT love bruce willis?!

anyway, it was back to the grind today. it was an early dep, and only 40 minutes long, so I had plenty of time to run errands before claiming my usual table at my usual beaners with my usual frosty cool beverage. I'm getting a head start on my stack of typing, getting organized for the rest of the week, and enjoying the crazy muzak that is currently floating around the premises.

my next big project is to finish a couple albums. the first is one I recorded awhile ago (and by "awhile ago" I mean a matter of years...shameful, I know...) and hope to finish it soon for your listening pleasure. it will also be the final album from "marie sheldon." I'm not sure who I'm going to be next (hehehehe)...

seriously, though, I'm moving in certain directions, leaving some things behind, and there's a certain freedom in starting over fresh, you know?

the second album is still pretty nebulous in my mind at this point, but that is the other big goal. we'll see what happens, friends :)

I think for your next act you need to go abstract. Something cool and unexplainable like The Yellow Mirror Duct or The Morgan County Vapor Tape.

Or not.

maybe I'll go mad lib style and just pick random words from the dictionary...
