MUTEMATH
kickin' it on the kent trail...with obligatory grape glacier and peanut butter cup/cookie dough blizzard-thingie
weeks ago we made plans to go see mutemath tonight at the intersection.
this afternoon, i got a call from dwight.
"what are you doing at 5 o'clock?"
"uhhh, i'm headed downtown to get in line," i said. "why?"
pause.
"do you want to meet the band?"
yeah.
dwight won tickets on WGRD today, and a chance to meet the band.
so a few phone calls later, chris made plans to leave work early and pick up dwight and jenny, and meet the freakin' band. go to dwight's blog soon for the super cool photographic evidence.
i think this is the first time we've attended a concert (intentionally) with a large group of people. all the girls: jenny, erin, rie, liz and tasha. yes, we're sitting at tables. yes, we're old. call us lame, and i'll kick your a**. ;)
little known facts about these girls: one of them is parallel-parking-challenged, but does okay if a navigator is involved. one of them likes to goose me when i'm not paying attention. both of them are GREAT road-trip friends. one of them becomes enraged while driving, and the other names all her cars the same thing.

It's not the table that make us old...it's the blue EAR PLUGS.
oh sure, make fun of the handicapped!!! i've only got one ear i can hear out of, i thought i might try to protect it....besides, the ear plugs isn't the sign of old age, the fact that i kept yelling for the band to turn it down, and i kept asking the waitress if they had metamucil on tap is what makes me old.
Amen...love that last photo of Chris with the hat, the earplugs, and the Mr. Rogers-esque sweater...
isn't he cute?! when I asked him what was in the pitcher, he responded by acting it out charades-style. remind me to reenact that for you sometime.
