my boring life :)
when you're in a hurry to get to the bathroom, it's really annoying when the bathroom door is one that shuts on its own....and is agonizingly slow...and no matter how hard you push on it, it doesn't move any faster.

that was yesterday. today, my deps cancelled so I'm breathing very easily and staying on top of my other assignments. it's a good feeling and I desperately hope I can maintain it. I don't tend to finish things well, and I'm not well-disciplined, so it always feels like such a struggle. especially when I could be doing things like biking with my sister or BEING SO CLOSE TO FINISHING ZELDA WIND WAKER! (jami, I'm soooooo close!!!)
here's how my holiday season is shaping up: next week we're moving (and the tree is immediately going up), the week after that we're caravanning by camel (okay, not really) to frankenmuth, and the week after that I'm participating in a cookie swap (and I will be using my two brand-new cookie cutters...guess what shapes they're in!!!!), the week after that we're traveling to joliet, illinois for a stage production of a radio broadcast of "it's a wonderful life," the weekend after that my parents are coming to the Grrrrrr to have christmas down here (hooray!)
chris has already broken out the christmas movies, and when I come home there's a different one playing every night. these are my most favorites christmas movies and my favorite lines to quote:
The Grinch -- "Hate-hate-hate, hate-hate-hate, LOATHE ENTIRELY." and "oh, martha! oh, christmas!" (there are many more...this is my favorite xmas movie to quote!!)
Elf -- "bye, buddy. hope you find your dad." "thanks, Mr. norwal."
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation -- "SQUIIIIIRRRRREL!!!!!!"
A Christmas Story -- "daddy's going to kill ralphie!"
