everyone meet ashley!

last night a few of us celebrated her betrothal with san chez sangria and an assortment of foods impossible to pronounce... though I personally didn't touch the fungus. nor did I even touch its plate. when it comes to in-laws and 'shrooms, you have to have your boundaries.

three weeks from today ashley will become a nickerson (not to be confused with knickerbockers, or ichabod crane). we've gotten to know her a lot better recently, and our world is better for it. even if she is -- swallow...don't vomit...say it...you can do it... -- a yankees fan. we do still love her ;)

so yes, a bunch of girls at a bridal shower, and the conversation turns to baseball.

ashley, you grace the stage, you inspire great love songs, and you have musical brilliance inside of you. I believe it! I'm glad I know you, and am thrilled for the adventure that awaits you.
