2 Paws
Today I made a little trip down to the Van Buren County Courthouse in Paw Paw, just west of Kalamazoo. I had to be there by 8:30 to set up my equipment, so it was an unusually early morning for me. And even though I knew when three alarms went off at 6:00am that I needed to get up, I still slept for another 10 minutes. and then I got up. :)
my eyes have been especially puffy lately, specifically under my right eye.
I think piscin may be punching me in my sleep.
it's been supremely gorgeous out lately. this was taken during a solo bike ride on the kent trail last week just south of M6. it is also fairly near the spot where kaylee and I were the receivers of a crude catcall (though she claims it was aimed at me) while we enjoyed a brisk walk.
friends, I enjoy watching sports, but I think the baldtrain has the right idea... there is nothing like playoff games. chris discovered that Studio 28 was playing game 5 in their theatre (as well as game 6 tonight), and I can tell you with absolute certainty that there is NO BETTER WAY to watch a hockey playoff game than in HD on a frickin' movie screen. and, it was an intense and exciting game to boot, that went into multiple overtimes.
oh, and by the way, it was free.
memorial day weekend chris and I enjoyed a fantastic leisurely weekend. at first we were just gonna laze around, but we ended up making some spontaneous movie-going choices. one of those nights our neighbor below us in apartment 2 (who also happens to be one of my favorite baristas at the real 44th street beaners) celebrated her fiance's birthday with some friends. needless to say, when we arrived home late that night, we discovered that our parking lot had undergone an amazing transformation via sidewalk chalk...one of which was the labeling of my carport :) and even though the rain washed away everything a couple days later, my nametag is actually still there!
and finally, this (don't worry, it's a potato) is what I took out of the microwave today when I got home. I was going to warm some food up, but this was already in there. when I showed chris, figuring he had simply forgotten about it, he gave me a funny look.
he HAD forgotten about it after he put it in the microwave.
four days ago.
