t minus 11 hours and counting...

before i take off for the weekend with two of my girls to hear drums, drums, and more drums, here is some more of what's been going on with me while i've been too busy for blogger ;)
liz has her first kent trails/houseman's experience yesterday.  we split a turtle flurry.  and liz gets her braces off next week!!!!  WOOHOO!
chris deflated our exercise balls.  i really liked mine for the chair aspect.  it was kind of like those red and blue bouncy things our church had when i was a kid.  you'll notice the strange door-looking contraptions in the lower right-hand corner.... that's right, friends, the jeep is leap-into-able!
i've been going to physical therapy for the last four weeks at health motion on 44th street.  i've thoroughly enjoyed being evaluated and worked on by professionals, despite the very literal pain of the process.  they really figured out what's going on with me, and i'm SO relieved to know that it's not that my body simply started falling apart when i turned 30 ;)
my morning today was full of drama and a lot of tears, but i was able to get in a few hours after i called, and actually discovered more the root of my problem.
seriously.  professionals.
relief.
i was entirely enthralled by this dragonfly while hanging out at the knapp corner biggby...
...especially when all of a sudden he would flip himself over onto his back (which he did twice!) from head butting the window trying to get out.  i am slightly ashamed to admit that i did not rescue the little guy.  i thought about it, but i was afraid i would hurt him, or damage his wings (you know, like how you can't touch a butterfly's wing or it can't fly anymore?).  does that make me a bad person?
my neighbor (without the assistance of alcohol this time!) redecorated my parking spot, totally covering up jenny's contribution, which stuck around for a long time :)
(jenny, i saw TONS of garage sales today!  next week.  we're doing it.  i'll call you.)
this picture was taken on 131, heading north from burton street.  i was making my way to alpine.  yes, the top was down.  i totally thought i could beat the storm.  about ann street i realized i wasn't going to make it.  and then as i was waiting to turn right onto alpine, i learned that the top doesn't go up unless the car is in PARK.  derrrr.
piscin has officially deemed this blog post to be "not amusing."
well, i'd like to see HER do better.
