experience the white pine...

what a fantastically great day! it began on the heels of an all-nighter type-fest (fueled by several hours of the mines, one smithwicks, a fish sandwich and manny's three-run homer) after at least two solid hours of sleep, i jumped into today. well, it was more of a sluggish creeping into the day, but i joined the day nonetheless. lisa and elizabeth began at riverside park, and met me in belmont. from there we ventured forth into rockford, for we were STARVING. we always take a bunch of pictures (and i'm wearing a different shirt this time!) so here are a few from today. praise god for the best dam dogs ever ;Penjoying our mid ride ice cream and gatorades...though it seems they might make us a little bit crazy...this looked like a lot of fun...make your own scarecrow!!! elizabeth's comment about some sample scarecrow-men (which would have been better if overheard out of context by a complete stranger) was "I like that man with the flannel and the tie and the jolly tummy!"in case you were wondering what it's really like to ride with us on the white pine, these are for you!!!

back in belmont we parted ways. i was not jealous that they had to bike farther, especially considering their foray into flasher territory (no sightings, though)
