just because it's funny

last night chris was taking down our tv from the wall mount he bought earlier that day.  we were getting ready to head out for dinner and i was hongry.  but when i told him i was ready to go, he was still unscrewing the wall mount.

so i said, "are you going to do that right now?"

he said, "it's from wal-mart."

liz often accompanies me when i do my treasure hunt scouting.  so far it's always been rainy at some point, if not the whole time.  interesting things happen when she and i are together.  and while the following image may be disturbing (for kate), it was one of the most hilarious things to happen to us ever.

here's the story:  we're scouting for diane's treasure hunt.  we're walking along the window on the waterfront park.  liz steps over what she thinks is a stick.  IT MOVES.  she jumps and screams and jumps a bunch more (how you do when something gives you the heebie jeebies), and swears she just saw a snake.  i chased it through the grass and we proceeded to have a photo shoot with him.

but liz is the one that picked him up with her bare fingers.
